I have created this space to document my journey through all of the challenges that I do, as well as my progress towards my goals and financial independence. The areas that I’m most interested/passionate about are:
- Financial Independence
- Personal Development
- Health and Fitness
I’ve always been interested in self-experimentation and record keeping. Over the years I have challenged myself in many ways, primarily through 30-day challenges involving sleep patters, diets, exercise, behavioural patters and much more. I have made some notes, and I can remember each challenge with varying degree, however, I have not documented my experience properly before.
Challenges allow us to improve our discipline, strengthen our will power, and make life more interesting.
I hope that by reading about my challenges and my journey through the various aspects of my life, it will inspire you to try something new and push you outside of your comfort zone.
Feel free to contact me via this website or directly through email at nathanchallengeslife@gmail.com. I would love to get some ideas for new challenges!

- How to Become a Millionaire and Retire Early (3 Steps)Having enough money so you no longer need to work may seem out of our reach at first. However, given time and compounding interest, it’s a whole lot easier to achieve than you think. I’ve been a follower of the Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement for a number of years now, with a goal …

- How Learning A Skill Becomes Integrated Into Your LifeEvery time you learn something new, you will be able to pick up a new skill easier the next time. - 2021 Goal Progress – FebruaryIs it just me, or is 2021 already flying by? Either way, another month, another progress review. This is my first progress review for 2021. Throughout January, I recognised that I was going very well towards most of my goals, but also knew that I probably wouldn’t hit some of them. If you want to …
- The Importance of Stoicism in our Daily LivesTimes are tough. It’s always tough. But we can choose how we feel about what happens. There always seems to be something negative going on, and if there isn’t, people somehow find a way to think and behave like there is. All this does is blur and muddy the clear, peaceful water of our minds. …

- No Social Media for 30 DaysI’ve decided to do a 30-day challenge to stop using social media. I’ve read a lot about people performing ‘dopamine detoxes’ and similar detox style methods of removing certain things from their life (such as social media, tv, notifications, emails, etc.). People have found this to improve their productivity, increase their will power, and be …
- How I Learnt to Touch-Type at 100 Words Per MinuteTouch-typing is a skill that is becoming more and more valuable as the world becomes more digital. Being able to type faster has made writing blog posts, articles, university assignments, and reports so much easier and faster for me. In 2011, during year 11, I decided to teach myself to touch-type. I wasn’t a particularly …

- How to Set SMART GoalsAs my first blog post, I thought I’d write about something I know about and implement in my own life. They are designed to be short, to the point, and informative. Always happy for any feedback 🙂 When setting your own goals, it’s important to consider how to plan them. You could have an awesome …
- Goals for 2021I found that categorising my goals into categories last year (finances/wealth, health/fitness etc), helped to keep me focused on those areas throughout the year. I have found that having approximately 3 goals per area was managable and allowed me to keep on track and on top of everything. I’ll be continuing with that theme in …
- 2020 Goal ReviewAt the beginning of this year, I wrote a post about the goals I wanted to achieve, the full post, with all the extra details can be seen here: Goals for 2020 While most of them have remained the same, after a few months, I decided to alter some slightly and include extras due to …
